Much needed time off

The Desert Commandos have disbanded. With the looming sour economy and some other issues and pressures, the current line up has disbanded. "I'm really proud of what we were able to accomplish in a years time. Everyone worked really hard and just got a bit burnt out, regardless I'm proud of the effort put forth by everyone involved" stated Virus. "I personally am going to enjoy the small break during this downtime and refocus our efforts in 2009." While the team is on this extended holiday, many of the features of the site have been disabled for the time being. You can still contact Virus via email if you have any questions regarding the team.

With the cancellation of Hac Boa, the next event will be Lion Claws Appreciation Day.

Ending the Summer Right - DCMT Style

DCMT ended the summer the only way we know how. Attended Op Hail Mary hosted by our friends SS03 which celebrated their 5th year as a team. Congratulation on your accomplishment SS03! May we be as fortunate as y'all and be here when y'all hit the big 10! The Op was hot! Temps had to be in the high 90's+. Good ole mother nature sure did put a lickin' on us. But when the Commandos get hot.. we hit the water! We all got together for a nice little DCMT BBQ & Pool Party on Sunday and we brought our families along too. Just my luck I forgot to bring the camera, go fig!

Just a couple more Ops left in the year. We have on the schedule: Op Rodina in Oct, Op Hac Boa in Nov and LC Appreciation Day in Dec.

Forum is back online

09/01/08 UPDATE: The forums are back online. You will have to re-register. I have re-imported some of the more important messages. Still working on the layout.

The dog days of summer are here!

Wow it's been hot out! Yeah the dog days of summer are here for sure. Temps have been hovering around the 100+ degree mark this summer with the nights being nice and cool.

With the major op event schedule finally done till fall. Past couple of weekends we ventured out to VVAP and have hosted games into the late evening and have had a blast playing under the lights there. This Saturday we are heading up to Big Bear/Fawnskin for their annual Ren Faire and Sunday a little team get together and potluck. It'll be a nice break from the heat!

Be sure to check the forums, we have a couple of events and public appearances coming up!

Rifle racks now available at Evike

Evike.com now carries our rifle racks. We are very pleased that we can offer a product to the airsoft community that we have used time and time again at various events that we attend. We are please to have a company such as Evike see the need of players and allowing us an outlet to offer these racks.

Weekend of Heroes Wrap up

This weekend was a blast! Got to meet a lot of new players, make new friends and catch up with some old friends. There were some pretty cool toys there. The Evike hello kitty paint job was sick! shooting the WA M4 was pretty cool too.

The Desert Commandos took first place in the Life Size Tactical Costume Contest. There was some pretty tough competition again this year and the results was close. We are truly honored to accept the win and the award. The award, our very own Snowman and Longbow will be appearing on the October issue of Airsoft International Magazine. In addition to the cover, we won a Classic Army SCAR.

DCMT was additionally interviewed by OPSEC Radio at WoH. Make sure you tune in.

DCMT wishes to thank Bring it On and Phoenix Printing for their support, without their support WoH wouldn't have been possible!

LCVII Wrap Up!

DCMT survived LCVII with no small feat of luck. From the flat tire to sore muscles. We couldn't have asked for a better weekend.

This was DCMTs first time at the Tehachapi AO. The field is huge. With wide open prairies to steep hills. The weather varied all weekend but was nice for the most part throughout and provided the most interesting challenge.

Our next major event is the Weekend of Heroes Expo June 21-22 at the Glendale, Ca Auditorium. Check the forum for details
